Marshall Watchinski

I am a retired veteran over the road truck driver with over 18 years accident free experience.  I gave up the big trucks and opened Pure Pleasure Horse Transport in March of 2002.  I travel some 125 thousand miles a year now transporting horses from all corners of the US and Alaska.  My experience with horses goes back to 1968 when I was 18 years old, and when I had my first Appaloosa.  And 37 years later we are still involved with horses.  I think it has always been my calling.

Marshall's Rig:

I drive a 2004 Dodge 1 ton Diesel truck.

My Trailer is a  2004 Travalong.-24 ft Gooseneck all aluminum stock with three individual box stalls.. The stalls measure 8' x 7' with a ceiling height of 7'.  Divider doors between the stalls go floor to ceiling, ensuring optimum safety.

Marshall's Feedback

I recently purchased my first horse and the breeder highly recommended Marshall with Pure Pleasure Horse Farm as the best and safest transport of my colt from Missouri to San Diego . I was 100% satisfied with the safe trip and the daily phone contact of his destinations and often 2 times a day, I was called. And, I am still in contact with Marshal as I seek my second horse and horse-related questions. Marshall is a highly experienced horseman and I want to sincerely thank him and his company for the exemplary service he provides and I would use his company for any animal transport without hesitation. A baby horse needs special handling when being transported and it was provided. Thank you again, Marshall .

Getting to know everyone and LOVE at first sight!

Dear Marshall,

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the superior service you gave to me and my Welsh Cob mare, Annie in hauling her from Arkansas to California! I moved from Arkansas to California in June 2007 and left my horse in the care of my best friend.

To make a long story short, Annie developed acute laminitis as a result of constant delays and no communication from the first transporter I hired. I had to put off transport for 12 wks. and did not know what I was going to do or who I could trust to get her to California. After extensive research on the internet, I came accross Pure Pleasure Horse Transport. I can say that you have the best, most informative site online. You cover all of your bases, which made me confident that you were professional and experienced.

I appreciated your patience with me and my many questions. At no time did I feel like I was just another customer, you made me feel like my horse was as important as any of the horses you have on your ranch. You always returned my emails and phone calls in a very timely manner.

Tragically, my dear friend who was keeping Annie suddenly passed away 5 days before the pick up. You were so kind and even offered to bring my little mare up to your ranch if neccessary. Thank you for taking control of the situation, loading my horse and contacting me on a very regular basis during the trip. I was completely at ease and did not have a moment of worry with Annie in your hands.

Annie arrived in California in a beautiful trailer in her own box stall with shavings, water and plenty of hay. The trailer and all the equipment was super clean and in perfect condition. Annie hopped off the trailer looking like she had been on for about 30 minutes, not through 6 states! In fact, you said when she got off that you thought she would jump right back in... and she did!!! For a horse that had only been trailered a very few times in her life and had prior loading problems, she was perfectly at ease! Thank you for giving my girl a fantastic ride. She was in perfect condition with no signs of lameness or sourness.

Annie is happy, relaxed and soaking up the sun here in California! She had no side effects of trailering across half of the U.S. and had plenty of energy to get in the arena the next day to run and buck.

Thank you again and if I ever need another horse hauled over a long distance, I will be calling you!

God Bless you and your family,

Susan B.

Hi Marshall!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the outstanding service you provided when bringing my Warmblood mare from CA to WI. She arrived safe, happy and very well adjusted from her long trip. I appreciate the attention to detail you gave her, from giving meds to making sure she had a blanket if need be. I also sincerely appreciate your OUTSTANDING communication with me for the duration of the trip, prior to, during and afterward.
This is my second time using Pure Pleasure transport, and it was indeed a pleasure both times.
Many thanks, and I look forward to using your company for any future shipping needs I may have

Marshall,

My Dad and I would like to Thank you both for the great job you two did on transporting Misty.
My Dad and his wife were very frustrated with the transporter that they thought they had, they kept them
hanging for over a month every week they kept telling them it would be this week and it never happened.

Then I felt their frustration and I started to search the web and found that I could contact all transporters by filling out a form, So I did that and within 15 minutes Kim call me and gave a pick up date and a delivery date and a price. She was very nice and professional. I told her to let me call my Dad and I would get right back to her. I called my dad right away and we decided to book you. My Dad called Kim and made all the arrangements and we were both relieved.

Marshall picked Misty up as planned He kept me informed on his time of arrival and how Misty was doing. Marshall also gave me his cell number so I could call anytime during transporting our mare. I was a little concerned about Misty, She is a 22 year old mare. But my Dad and I were very confident with Marshall.
When Marshall picked up Misty at my Dad’s , we thought he would have a hard time loading her, She is not an easy horse to get on the trailer. My Dad told me Marshall had a gentle touch and patience with Misty, She went on after four try’s. Marshall did not use any hard forceful ways. His experience with horses showed as he handled her.

After Marshall had her loaded he called me with time of arrival and let me know that I could call anytime if I wanted. He was very nice and easy to talk to. The trip from Hudson Florida to Rolla Missouri is quite a distance and I was nervous again about Misty’s age. Marshall drove straight through with a few short naps.
He checked on Misty every three to four hours and you could tell when they arrived in Missouri they were buddies Marshall handed me a pack of sugar cookies and he said here She likes these we ate them together at one of the stops. I laughed and right then I felt he spent time with her. When he open the trailer door I was amazed the trailer was clean Misty was standing in clean shavings and She was very calm. The trip was long and quick for both of them.
Marshall , you and Kim deserve recognition and if I can help in anyway, please feel free to contact me and use this letter for reference.

Thank you both for a job well done,

Hey Marshall,

I just want to thank you so much for the wonderful job you did hauling my new mare from Montana to Utah. Through ice and snow, you kept me posted and brought her safely through to me. This was my first time using a Hauling Company and I am using you again for another mare coming from the same place. I feel so confident in your "horse savvy" and driving expertise.  You let me call you as often as I wanted while you were in route and never made me feel like I was a major worry wart. Tawnee arrived in perfect condition, calm as a cucumber. You have taken the anxiety out of having horses transported! Thanks again for the wonderful service. See you soon with my 2nd little gal from Montana.

Teri, Utah

Marshall,

Just wanted to tell you how nicely all worked out dealing with your van service. I received a call when my mare was dropped off yesterday from your driver, who is a terrific guy, and all very helpful and professional.

I will certainly be seeking you out in future any time I need horses moved about, and as well recommend you to my friends.
Thanks, Jill ( in Illinois )

With a name like "Outlaw" you would expect to deliver him a a rough looking cowboy.   NOT the case here.  Outlaw traveled with us from North Carolina to Arkansas and was a surprise for Emma.  As you can see, she was just a little Happy !

Marshall,
We have the utmost confidence in Pure Pleasure Transport and you.. As a repeat customer, we are totally satisfied. And as for you, well, your the greatest. You treated our horses as if they were your own; this speaks volumes about your character. Marshall,
I wanted to give you a heartfelt thank you for the wonderful care your company gave my babies! They are safe and sound at their destination, and I couldn't be happier! The man you had on the haul ( Jerry ) was so friendly, and seemed to genuinely care for the babies, and he could be depended on to call me morning and night to let me know how things were going. I really appreciate all your efforts, and your willing to work with me even when I was changing things and going through so much on this end. If I ever need transport again, or know anyone who does, you will be the first to know. Angie
( This customer had 10 pmu babies transported from ND to NM )

Hi Marshall,
I just wanted to Thank-You again for bring our Lacey home. After a year and a half wait, we wanted nothing but the best for our mule as she made the trip from IL to FL. You can't imagine the excitement both my husband and I felt as she walked off the trailer in perfect condition and with a calm disposition. Your expert and gentle care, along with the incredible communication made the trip very easy for both Lacey and us. Definitely, when we move from FL to CA, you will be the transport we will use. THANK-YOU!! Julie in Fl

Hi
I just wanted to say thank you for the last horse that you transported for me. That was very nice of you to ship him down so quickly before Christmas. I appreciate your tact in dealing with the possibility of a second horse.
The sellers also sent me a note mentioning that they were very impressed with your service. Clean, professional and good with the horses were mentioned in their note.
Thank you again. I know my husband hopes it will be a while, but I'll be sure to call you guys for the next horse I need shipped.

Dear Marshall

We finally got internet and e-mail and being a gal of my word just wanted to drop y'all a line. I have to say Marshal transported my 3 horses, ages 13, 8 and 4 from New Bloomfield, MO to D'Hanis, TX and there wasn't a hair out of place on any of my horses when they were delivered. He did an absolute fantastic job with my prized possions. The horses arrived in excellent shape, hydrated without any problems what so ever. Marshal was just an all around professional hauling my guys and didn't mind all the phone calls while in route. He even off loaded my hay!! Marshal's fee was worth every cent and his rig is top notch!! When he says he treats your horses like they were his own he means every single word of it. Without hesitation I would use Pure Pleasure Horse Transports again and would with out a doubt recommend him to my "horsey" friends. Marshal and Kim have a way above average business ethics and truly love horses.
Thanks again for such a wonderful job and making the move of almost 1000 miles less stressful.

Happy Trails

Shell and Chris

Thank YOU for delivering our baby in such good condition, and not traumatized. She was worth all the effort; she is really something special.

Dear Pure Pleasure Horse Transport
I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how appreciative I was for your services hauling my POA mare from Kingman KS to Lancaster CA. I had never engaged the services of horse transporters before and really didnt know what to expect. I had just gotten burned by another transport company who had stollen my deposit and quickly closed up shop, so I was more then a little "leary". I realize many folks write compliments, but I have to tell you I was very impressed with your professional attitude and "can do" spirit. Marshall dispite the phone problems was very understanding. My mare arrived in fantastic shape and although it was a long trip, arrived refreshed and ready to meet the rest of her new family. I dont know that I will ever need to make a long haul like this again, but it is so comforting to know you are out there willing to go that "extra mile" for both horse
and owner.
Thanks alot to Marshall and your wonderful
company!! Elaine C.

We have used more haulers than I can count over the past few years as we were in the buying and selling business for awhile. I have never had a hauler give my horse half of a trailer and not tie her in like Gerald did. It made it so much nicer for Foxie. I actually had other haulers asking if she would be ok in cross-ties for the entire trip! NOT! How miserable would that be! You provided the very best service possible and thought of Foxie's comfort the entire time and I, as well as the prior owner, appreciate that more than you know. The people at the barn where Gerald picked up Foxie were very impressed with your service and were very relieved we had decided to go with your company!

Take care and may you have many more success stories!
Very Sincerely,
Kathy R.

UPDATE/FOLLOW UP:  Hi!  You guys are awesome! Foxie is going great and is well rested and hydrated. We'll use you again if I need a hauler! Gerald is such a nice man and called me twice a day to keep me posted on status.

Take care and thanks again so very much! You are a lifesaver!

Sincerely, Kathy R.

Just a note to thank you for taking such good care of "Jack" - he is adjusting very well - he will be a companion to a blind horse.   I very much appreciate the care that you gave him and I will certainly recommend your transport service to others.

Connie H.

Once again you did a great job bringing my sweet little Inshallah to me.  Especially since she is still recovering from the leg surgery.  She arrived in excellent condition and has had no trip or stress related problems.   Thanks, Melissa

PS  Here are some updated pics of Inshallah and Sue
